DTF Transfers FAQ

1. What are DTF transfers?
DTF (Direct-to-Film) transfers are full-colour, print-ready designs printed onto a special film, then heat-pressed onto a garment. They work on cotton, polyester, and blends, require no weeding, and hold up to 60+ washes without cracking or peeling.

2. How is Forge Transfers different from other DTF suppliers in Canada?
Forge Transfers is the DTF division of Forge & Fabric, a Fanatics-approved, SMETA 2-Pillar certified apparel production facility in Brampton, Ontario. We print over 50,000 pieces a month for licensed programs and retail brands — DTF transfers are made on the same production floor and held to the same quality standard, not outsourced or brokered.

3. What's the turnaround time?
Standard turnaround is 24-48 hours. Orders placed before 12PM enter same-day processing, and same-day local pickup is available at our Brampton facility.

4. Is there a minimum order?
No. There are no minimums and no setup fees. The minimum charge is $0.20 per design.

5. How much do DTF transfers cost?
Pricing is $0.025 per square inch, with a $0.20 minimum per design. Custom gang sheets start at $6.60. This is flat wholesale pricing — no account or sign-up required.

6. What files do I need to upload?
Upload print-ready artwork (PNG or PDF with a transparent background works best) directly through the product page. If you're not sure your file is ready, order a Free Sample first and our team will flag any issues before printing.

7. Do you ship across Canada?
Yes. We ship nationwide with flat-rate shipping at $9.99 for standard ground in Ontario, $19.99 across Canada, and $24.99 for expedited overnight. Orders over $100 ship free.

8. Can I pick up my order in Brampton?
Yes. Same-day local pickup is available for orders placed before the daily cutoff — choose "local pickup" at checkout.

9. What fabrics work with DTF transfers?
Cotton, polyester, blends, and most synthetic fabrics. Press settings vary slightly: 139-143°C (280-290°F) for 10 seconds on cotton/50-50 blends, or 138-140°C (280-284°F) for 8 seconds on polyester/synthetics.

10. How durable are the transfers?
Our transfers are rated for 60+ washes without cracking or peeling, using a true hot-peel film that peels clean immediately after pressing — no waiting, no residue.
